Twenty Democratic Attorneys General Call on White House to Tighten Regulations on Ammunition Manufacturer
Democratic attorneys general from 19 states and the District of Columbia, led by New York Attorney General Letitia James, have urged the White House to take action against an ammunition manufacturer. In a letter to the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, they expressed concern about reports of military-grade ammunition from the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant being sold on the commercial market. The letter cited the use of this ammunition in several violent incidents, including school shootings and the Buffalo supermarket shooting. It called for an investigation to prevent such ammunition from reaching civilians.
The attorneys general highlighted the use of federal funds, over $860 million, to improve production at the plant, stating that taxpayers had effectively subsidized the bullets involved in these violent acts. The ammunition in question, 5.56-millimeter rounds, is commonly used in AR-15 rifles, which are popular among gun owners in the United States.
The Lake City Army Ammunition Plant is a large facility owned by the U.S. government and operated by Winchester Ammunition. A New York Times article in November linked the plant's ammunition to mass shootings, prompting Democrats to demand stricter oversight of ammunition sales.
"In the short term, we ask your Office to investigate the contracting and manufacturing practices that led to so many billions of military-grade rounds being sold into our communities, and to issue a public report with recommendations about how to end the diversion of military ammunition into civilian hands," the letter states. "In the long term, we ask the White House to ensure that future production contracts prohibit the sale of military weapons and ammunition to civilians."
The states signing the letter are Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington.
Amid ongoing legal challenges, a California law banning firearms in most public places took effect in January. This came after an appeals court paused an order blocking its enforcement. U.S. District Judge Cormac Carney, a George W. Bush appointee, had previously blocked the law in December, describing it as "sweeping, repugnant to the Second Amendment, and openly defiant of the Supreme Court."

We saw cities being burned down in riots and not that many police showed up. There was also 2 Blackhawk helicopters above the scene, airspace in the area was shut down. And before this happened there was reports that people saw over 100 unidentified objects in the sky there. People said no one was allowed to leave the shopping center without giving the police their cell phones so that they can be checked for any photos or footage if there was anything it was deleted. They said nobody really took pictures because they were all running in fear of whatever it was.
All camera footage from stores were confiscated. We will never see them or the body cam footage. But president Trump was also hurried away to a secure location. And even he said on social media at the time "What is really going on? Will we get the truth?" So it's even he didn't know what was going on but it was dangerous enough for him to be whisked away into a safe place something was going on.

Certain online critics of Trump are reviving a false narrative about his relationship with Epstein, a tactic previously employed by Hillary Clinton and her allies to deflect attention from the Clintons' extensive and lucrative ties to Epstein, a convicted rapist and sex trafficker.
It is true that Trump knew Epstein and attended social events with him. However, it has been publicly known since 2021 that Trump was only on Epstein's plane once, accompanied by his wife Marla Maples and their daughter Tiffany. Trump never visited Epstein's island or his New York residence. FAA records confirm that the Trumps flew on Epstein's plane only once, a fact detailed in 'The Clintons' War on Women.'
The Epstein case is a disturbing one. Palm Beach Police Chief Michael Reiter provided the state's attorney with ample evidence from a six-month undercover investigation to charge Epstein with 35 counts of child sex trafficking and multiple counts of raping a minor. However, the state's attorney shocked Chief Reiter by agreeing to a lenient plea deal, secured by Epstein's high-profile legal team, which included Roy Black, Gerald Lefcourt, Alan Dershowitz, and former U.S. Solicitor General Ken Starr.
The state's attorney who approved the plea deal promptly resigned and established a private law firm that began representing several of Epstein's associates.

A federal court of appeals affirmed a previous ruling on Tuesday stating that a law mandating hospitals to treat emergency patients does not extend to cover abortions.
In August 2022, a district court had ruled that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) could not compel states like Texas, where abortion is prohibited, to require doctors to perform abortion services under the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTLA). This act prohibits hospitals from turning away emergency patients. HHS appealed this ruling, but the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the lower court's decision, maintaining an injunction preventing the department from enforcing this requirement in Texas.
According to court documents, the appeals court opinion stated, "As previously discussed, EMTALA does not mandate medical treatments, let alone abortion care, nor does it preempt Texas law. The injunction squarely enjoins HHS from enforcing the Guidance and Letter regarding these two issues within the State of Texas and against the plaintiff organizations… The district court was correct in tailoring the injunction based on the parties, issues, and evidence before it."
Texas currently prohibits abortion once a fetal heartbeat is detected, typically around six weeks. The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) contends that the broad definition of "stabilizing treatment" under EMTLA includes abortions, but the appeals court rejected this argument, stating that it exceeds the statutory language and is not supported by traditional rules of interpretation in Texas.
The lawsuit was initially brought by the state of Texas and later joined by the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Christian Medical and Dental Association in July 2022.
In a separate case, the Department of Justice is suing the state of Idaho over its abortion law, alleging that it interferes with doctors' obligations under EMTLA. The case is awaiting a decision from Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan.

Hence, the Constitution was written as their best effort to ensure American Government could effectively function in its proper roles, without allowing any one person or persons to seize uncontested power, which would take the Country right back to tyranny.

Examples of such go all the way back to the early 1800s, with efforts by the Nation's high courts to "reinterpret" (reinvent) the "Commerce Clause" as a means of totally negating the Tenth Amendment of the Bill of Rights. That amendment flatly stipulates that powers not specifically granted to the Federal Government by the Constitution are strictly prohibited to it, thus limiting its ability to wantonly seize total control over "We the People." Of course this had to change.

I fear we have reached the end of the rule of law. If the Supreme Court strikes down these Marxist States, they will only claim it was a Republican Decision. The very idea of a “UNITED” formation of states can no longer be justified. The nation has become so deeply divided; as Abraham Lincoln once said, a house divided cannot stand. This is what we face as we move into 2032. The Supreme Court instigated the Civil War with the Dread Scott decision when they tried to defuse the potential for the Civil War.
Emerson was Scott’s owner, and he allowed Scott to get married and left Scott and his wife in Wisconsin when Emerson traveled to Louisiana. Emerson died in 1843, and Scott attempted to purchase his freedom from Emerson’s widow, but she refused. Dread Scott argued that since he became a permanent resident in the federal territory of Wisconsin, which prohibited slavery, he became a freeman. The district court applied the laws of Missouri to find Scott was still a slave, and the Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed. It then went to the Supreme Court, in a hotly watched issue, then much as removing Trump from the ballots today. In a highly contentious opinion written by Chief Justice Taney, he held that persons of African descent were not citizens of the United States. The Court reasoned that, at the time of the ratification of the U.S. Constitution, persons of African descent were brought to the U.S. as property and, whether later freed or not, could not become U.S. citizens.
With that decision, the Civil War became the solution. Abraham Lincoln was never on the ballots in 10 states: South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Virginia. He did not receive any votes from the states that would later form the Confederacy besides Virginia, where Republicans secured 1% of the votes. History is repeating once again. Today, the Marxist-following states that do not believe in Equal Protection of the Law seek to remove Trump from their ballots as well to prevent him from becoming president, precisely as was done to Abraham Lincoln.

The U.S. District Judge Cormac Carney had initially declared the law unconstitutional, stating that it violated the Second Amendment's right to self-defense. However, the recent intervention by the appeals court has allowed the law to move forward as originally scheduled.
The law applies to individuals with concealed carry permits, as reported by The Hill. However, it includes an exception for private businesses, which can permit firearms by displaying appropriate signage.

Less Than Half of Republicans Are ‘Highly Confident’ That Votes Will Be Counted Accurately in GOP Primary Election
Only a minority of Republicans, less than half, express "high confidence" in the accuracy of vote counting in the upcoming GOP primary. This stands in stark contrast to the 72% of Democrats who report having high confidence in their party's primary election.
According to a new poll from The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research:
About one-third of Republicans say they have a “great deal” or “quite a bit” of confidence that votes in the Republican primary elections and caucuses will be counted correctly. About three in 10 Republicans report a “moderate” amount of confidence, and 32% say they have “only a little” or “none at all.” In contrast, 72% of Democrats have high confidence their party will count votes accurately in its primary contests. Democrats are also slightly more likely than Republicans to have a high level of confidence in the Republican Party’s vote count being accurate.
The survey also revealed that only around a quarter of Republicans have "quite a bit" of confidence in the accuracy of vote counting for the 2024 presidential election, a significantly lower proportion than Democrats. This skepticism is shared by just under half of all U.S. adults.
In addition, the poll highlighted widespread distrust in both major parties among Americans, regardless of their political affiliation. According to The Associated Press, about a quarter of U.S. adults lack confidence in the Democratic and Republican parties' fairness in selecting presidential nominees. This sentiment is particularly high among independents, with approximately half expressing low confidence in both parties' processes, compared to around a quarter of Republicans and 19% of Democrats.

'Propaganda': Trump lawyer whines that voters shouldn't be told about his legal problems.
Donald Trump’s attorney thinks voters should be shielded from knowing about the legal problems facing the former president.
Christina Bobb said on Newsmax that officials spreading “propaganda” about Trump criminal cases — he’s facing 91 charges in four jurisdictions — is tantamount to election interference.
Bobb was specifically talking about Shenna Bellows, Maine’s secretary of state who last week became the second official to rule Trump should be disqualified from the ballot under the Constitution’s 14th amendment.
It states that anybody who takes part in an insurrection against the U.S. is ineligible from holding public office. A similar ruling was made earlier last month in Colorado.
“This narrative that Trump isn’t going to be ineligible, trying to instill fear in the voters that oh, maybe I shouldn’t vote for him… maybe I shouldn’t follow him because he won’t be on the ballot,” Bobb said.
“They’re trying to discourage people from supporting Donald Trump, thinking he’s got all these legal problems. That is election interference, and she needs to be held accountable for it.”
Bobb said Bellows should be
impeached for her decision.
“I would encourage the attorney general or the district attorneys in Maine to take a closer look at this and possibly investigate [MS Bellows] for abuse of authority, abuse of power and election interference because this, no doubtedly, is election interference,” she told Newsmax. The interview was reported by The Independent.
“Even if she’s overruled, even if the likely outcome — which is that Trump will be on the ballot — even if that happens, she is interfering with the election by putting out all of this propaganda.”

Although this home fueling system will be a challenge to get to market, Toyota is spearheading the ever-daunting question of climate change and how manufacturing can be used to combat it. As of this patent filing, it's clear that Toyota has plans to dramatically change how we see and use hydrogen at a consumer level and store it safely at home.
Moreover, Toyota's rough drafts of this system give us insight into what type of person could benefit from it and the adaptation of solar power, natural water/gas, and an authentication process via smartphone. As stations begin to pop up around California, Hawaii, and the East Coast of the United States, demand for these refueling stations and hydrogen models will continue to grow.
The main question, however, is if Toyota will focus solely on at-home fuel sharing or if it could take this to the level of what Tesla did with Supercharger Stations. The Mirai has made great strides and has been successful for Toyota at a small level.
A nationwide hydrogen harvesting, and storage expansion would open the gates for Toyota to do something much larger. With plans in the hopper for new vehicles using fuel cell technology, Toyota has to make a "Shared Hydrogen Network" that every owner can use and enjoy long-term.

'In addition to being wrong, these allegations are irrelevant to the jury's determination of the defendant's guilt or innocence, would be prejudicial if presented to the jury, and must be excluded,' prosecutors wrote.
The motion to preclude Trump from introducing broad categories of arguments is a way for prosecutors to try to set parameters on what information they believe the jury should, or should not, hear when the case reaches trial.

Popular anti-anxiety medication could be putting more than 1 million pregnant women at risk of miscarriage, a new study suggests.
Researchers from Taiwan studied more than 3 million pregnancies in 2 million women and found 4.4 percent - or 136,130 - resulted in miscarriages.
They analyzed the medical history of all the women studied, and found those prescribed a class of drug called benzodiazepines - used to treat anxiety, depression and insomnia - were, on average, 70 percent more likely to miscarry compared to those who didn't take the pills.
Benzodiazepines, also called benzos, are a group of sedative drugs. The most well-known medications include Xanax, Valium, Ativan and Klonopin.

Trump demands recusal of Maine secretary of state in 14th Amendment determination
Former President Trump on Wednesday demanded the Maine secretary of state recuse herself from her upcoming decision on the former president’s ballot eligibility under the 14th Amendment, citing her past statements about the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Unlike other states, where plaintiffs have sued over Trump’s eligibility in court, Maine’s system first allows the secretary of state to weigh in. Challengers can then appeal in state court.
In response to three petitions challenging Trump’s ballot eligibility, Maine Secretary of State Shenna Bellows, a Democrat, is set to issue a decision in the coming days.
On Wednesday, Trump’s lawyers wrote Bellows a letter demanding she disqualify herself over three tweets she previously issued referencing Jan. 6, including those in which she described the attack as an insurrection.

Kim Jong-Un Orders Military to Prepare for War
Kim Jong-Un has reportedly instructed his military to prepare for war in a nighttime order, as stated by Reuters. This directive also involves accelerating North Korea's nuclear program in response to what Kim describes as unprecedented measures from the United States.
During a special meeting with the ruling Workers' Party, Kim outlined aggressive tasks for the army, ammunition industry, nuclear weapons, and civil defense sectors to intensify war preparations, according to the state Korean news agency KCNA cited by Reuters.
Kim emphasized that the military situation on the Korean Peninsula has become extreme due to previous confrontations with the United States.
In anticipation of potential weapon tests by Pyongyang, South Korea and Japan have strengthened their political and defense cooperation with the United States. They have activated a system to share real-time data on North Korean missile launches.
Additionally, the United States deployed a nuclear-powered submarine to the South Korean port city of Busan in December and conducted training with South Korea and Japan using long-range bombers. North Korea claims to have successfully launched its first military spy satellite and tested the Hwasong-18, its most advanced intercontinental ballistic missile.
Kim Jong-Un has recently amended North Korea's constitution to declare the country as a nuclear power. He warned less than a month ago that an invasion of South Korea is imminent.

Leisy told Newsweek via email on Thursday that Americans have a "God-given right" to vote, and that the Constitution "clearly states no citizen of the United States shall be denied the right to vote."

Ex-White House lawyer Ty Cobb predicts a swift, unanimous (9-0) victory for Trump in his appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) against being removed from Colorado's presidential primary ballot.
Cobb argues that the law is clear and favors Trump.
The Colorado Supreme Court's (CSC) 4-3 ruling cited the Fourteenth Amendment's "insurrection clause," claiming Trump's actions on Jan. 6, 2021, constituted insurrection. Cobb argues that Trump does not qualify as an "officer" under this amendment.
The CSC's ruling is on hold until Jan. 4, allowing Trump to seek SCOTUS review. If the appeal proceeds, Trump's name will remain on the ballot until the case is resolved. The ruling only affects Colorado, leaving Trump eligible for other primaries.
Republicans, including Trump's rivals Ramaswamy and DeSantis, criticized the decision. Ramaswamy withdrew from the Colorado primary, urging others to do the same. DeSantis suggested the ruling was a Democratic ploy to help Trump in the general election.

Suppressing Israeli Air Defenses: Hezbollah Strikes Two Iron Dome Batteries in New Escalation
Following over two months of escalated hostilities between Israeli forces and the Lebanese militia Hezbollah, which were initiated by the latter in response to Israel’s initiation of ground operations into the Palestinian Gaza Strip, Hezbollah has reportedly begun to target Israeli air defense assets. A number of local media outlets have reported that strikes on December 18 for the first time hit two Iron Dome surface to air missile batteries. The Iron Dome is the lowest tier in Israel’s multi-layered air defense network and is intended to intercept short ranged, low altitude and relatively low-cost assets such as rocket artillery and small drones. This contrasts to systems such as the Barak 8 and David’s Sling which are optimized to targeting assets such as aircraft and ballistic missiles.
With both Hezbollah and Palestinian militias in the Gaza relying heavily on a range of rocket artillery assets to strike Israeli targets, eroding the capabilities of the Iron Done has the potential to serve as a force multiplier for future attacks. Hezbollah also deploys a range of drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles.

Impeachment Drama: Pelosi Furious After Her Own Words Come Back to Bite Her
The United States House of Representatives voted earlier this month to formally authorize its investigation into President Joe Biden’s potential impeachment.
By a party-line vote of 221-212, the Republican-controlled chamber approved the investigation, which is looking into whether Biden improperly benefited from his 53-year-old son Hunter Biden’s international business dealings. Hunter Biden had earlier declined an invitation to testify behind closed doors.
The move drew immediate pushback from Democrats, but Washington Examiner columnist Byron York pointed out that just a few years ago, then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi made a similar decision and announced an impeachment inquiry into then-President Donald Trump.

Authorities in the West Bank biblical city of Bethlehem, where Jesus was born, announced on November 14 that Christmas decorations would not be displayed and that the holiday would be held in solidarity with Gaza amid ongoing bloodshed caused by the Israel-Hamas war. The celebration will be cancelled. Christmas decorations will also be removed throughout the year "out of respect for the martyrs and in solidarity with our people in Gaza," the city council posted on Facebook.
"We are seeing a political statement overshadowing something that we as Christians and the Christians of Bethlehem hold very sacred," Morris said. “When you hand over a Christian holiday – a holy holiday – to politicians, it will be desecrated, and that's what we're seeing in Bethlehem.”

The Shut It Down for Palestine Coalition, an activist coalition formed between the Palestinian Youth Movement and the North Alliance, gathered outside Austin's home and demanded, "No Christmas as usual during the genocide! Ceasefire now!"

'Zombie deer disease' concerns scientists over possible spread to humans
The discovery of the first case of chronic wasting disease (CWD) in Yellowstone National Park last month has raised concerns that the deadly brain disease could someday spread to humans, according to some scientists.
A deer carcass in the Wyoming area of the park has tested positive for the highly contagious prion disease, which can cause weight loss, staggering, apathy and neurological symptoms, according to the CDC. It has been observed in deer, elk, reindeer, and moose in areas of North America, Canada, Norway, and South Korea.
Biden Admin Denies Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Secret Service Protection for Third Time
For the third time, independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been denied United States Secret Service (USSS) protection, according to a letter obtained by Deseret News.
Kennedy’s campaign confirmed the authenticity of the letter, which reportedly showed Department of Homeland Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas had rejected Kennedy’s request. Mayorkas allegedly stated that, based on the facts and a recommendation from an advisory committee composed of high-ranking members of Congress, Kennedy was not deemed to require USSS protection.
“I have consulted with an advisory committee composed of the Speaker of the House, the House Minority Leader, the Senate Majority Leader, the Senate Minority Leader, and the Senate Sergeant at Arms,” Mayorkas reportedly wrote, according to Deseret News. “Based on the facts and the recommendation of the advisory committee, I have determined that Secret Service protection for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is not warranted at this time.”
Since the start of his presidential campaign, Kennedy has been denied protection three times by the Biden administration.
While the Secret Service doesn't decide who qualifies for protection, federal law allows all “major” presidential candidates, as per the 2024 USSS candidate protection page. The criteria, established in 2017, guide the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the advisory committee. Factors include public campaign announcements, proper documentation, a threat assessment, and national campaign activity.
Independent candidates must poll at “20% or more of the Real Clear Politics National Average for 30 consecutive days.”
Kennedy claims he meets these criteria and provided a security firm report to the Biden administration detailing “safety risks.” These include being targeted by a man who allegedly tried to break into his home twice, with the second attempt leading to the man's arrest by Los Angeles police in late October.
