The criticism she faced was not due to having an accident but rather how she chose to highlight it.

I share the sentiment that one doesn't need to demean themselves to make a point. It would have been more appropriate to make a motion for a mature discussion about the matter. Kudos to the perceptive women who understood the situation and exposed the intent behind her actions. Credit also goes to the man who calmly asked enough questions to grasp the situation and requested her to change, not because of her period, but to engage in a mature discussion about the social issue she sought to address.

 

Whether or not she was on her menstrual cycle, I sympathize with any accident she might have had, and it's likely that others at the event feel the same way. Nevertheless, such arrogant protests may be effective in America but might not be well-received in other places like Africa.

Then out of nowhere, once she turns her back and starts to walk off, this goofball ATTACKS her!  All the reports I read said he was trying to take her gun, and it did seem like that's what he was trying to do until the armed woman WHO told him exactly what she was about to do. To which he responded, trying to call her bluff, she would have to do it. Then, as the saying goes, he messed around and found out.
